Xin — Private AI Companion

Welcome to Xin ("we," "our," or "us"). We built Xin around a simple promise: your conversations are yours alone. This Privacy Policy explains what information is and isn't handled when you use our mobile application.
Xin runs its AI model entirely on your device. Your chats, the characters you create, and the memories Xin keeps are stored only on your phone and are never uploaded, transmitted, or stored on any server. Conversations work even with no internet connection. We cannot read your chats, and no copy of them exists outside your device. No account or sign-in is required to use Xin.
We collect as little as possible to operate the app:
Xin displays advertisements through Google AdMob to keep the free tier available. Google AdMob may collect certain information for personalized advertising. You can learn more about Google's privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.
On iOS devices, we request App Tracking Transparency permission before enabling personalized ads. In the EEA and UK, we show a consent form (Google UMP) before serving personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings, and VIP subscribers see no ads at all.
VIP is an optional auto-renewing subscription, and gems are one-time purchases — both are billed through your App Store or Google Play account. Billing, renewal, and cancellation are handled entirely by the store. We never see your payment details. You can manage or cancel a subscription anytime in your store account settings.
Xin is intended strictly for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly permit use by, or collect information from, anyone under 18. All characters in the app are adults. Content that sexualizes minors is strictly forbidden and filtered. To report a concern, email [email protected] or contact the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children at missingkids.org.
Because your conversations, characters, and settings stay on your device, their security depends on your device's own protections. The limited data handled by our third-party services (advertising and purchase processing) is protected by those services' security measures.
